This week, I’d love your help. As most of you know, February can be a tender month for me as it is filled with memories of both loss and love. My divorce was final this month. My elder son, who died at age fifteen, was born this month. And, it’s the anniversary month of my bout with transverse myelitis, that “strange” inflammation of the spinal cord that affects one in a million and paralyzed me twenty-eight years ago.
It’s also my birthday month, a celebratory time, but also a time for reflection on the dreams I had, now shadowed by a reality I could have never imagined.
And yet, life is good. It’s still filled with possibilities. I have so very much to be grateful for, including you!
This year, I’m choosing to focus on love, rather than loss. I want to get a running start on making it a positive month, filled with the fullness that connection can bring.
Inspired by the words of my friend Nancy, (Morning Fuel: January 12), I do believe there are “strings between our hearts.” I want to explore that connection with you.
How can you help?
For those of you reading Morning Fuel, I’d love to know how it has connected you to others. Have there been certain entries or phrases you have shared? You can tell me about it or simply take a picture of the passage from the book.
What joy it would bring to think that Morning Fuel has helped strengthen the strings between your hearts.
Because, as we all know:
On the home front, life has been a little fragile for me over the last couple of weeks – health challenges for myself and for my daughter Madison, who has autism. All is well at the moment, but that experience highlighted both the need and the power of connection, especially when you’re struggling.
Thanks in advance for helping me set the stage for a positive February.
And on we go. . . choosing our focus—because we can!
My best – always,
Becky (Nana B)
P.S. Want to give February a special power-boost for me? I’d really appreciate an Amazon review. My first goal: 25. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for any help—it would mean a lot!
