This week’s inspiration comes from one of you, a dear friend I first met when I was in fourth grade.
My father called her “June-bug,” an example of his signature name-remembering technique that also helped me recall not only her name but the playful way Dad said it every time he greeted her.
In response to last week’s Thoughtful Thursday on The Power of the Past, she wrote:
Wow. What insight!
. . . the past becomes a rock, even with the rough edges.
. . . never stops being an influence, or teacher, or comfort.
. . . it is the preparation. . . for the life we are presently living.
Thanks for sharing your inspiring wisdom, June-bug!
Indeed, as William Shakespeare reminds us, “What’s past is prologue.”
How about you? Do you feel your past has prepared you for the present you are living? Tell me about it. I’d love to know.
My best – always,
Becky (Nana B)
P.S. Up next: Looking forward to the Pathfinders for Autism Fashion Show on Saturday, November 4, 2018. And, I’ll be in Philadelphia on November 15, 2018. More details and info below.
